I'm proud to say that I grew up in South Milwaukee. The people there are down-to-earth, friendly, and real. I moved to West Allis 20 years ago, then to West Bend 10 years ago. People here are uppity, hoity-toity, and "better than any one who wasn't born and raised here"... or so they think. My family still lives in South Milwaukee; I miss that little town, and I want to come back.

I appreciate the motivation growing up in South Milwaukee gave me to make something of myself and to get out of Wisconsin as soon as I could.

I do appreciate the Park and the Lake. I take walks there all the time. Depends where you live, but there are some nice neighborhoods and houses. We are very happy here.

The long tradition of great music programs in the schools

We are proud that we can live in a city that was built by people that worked hard and lived hard. Great Restaurants and services. I am proud to say that I live in South Milwaukee.

Gregg "The Mayor" Behling

Edgar Fink, whose farm boarded the railroad tracks and Colllege ave at one time won a prize in agriculture for some product he developed in South Milwaukee

I second the motion on being proud of the Former Mayor Chet Grobschmidt WHAT A GREAT GUY!!!!!

The fact that we are not afraid to tell those that slander our community to move if they don't like it, that way it will make more room for the down to earth, hard working people that built this town to begin with.

we can melt snow for fresh water

Is the city going to bring bottles of water out or place water from tanker trucks at major intersections, they really need to have a plan.

Is there a way you could post information about the water outage so we know how to plan?? No one knew it was going to be shut off and it seems to be city wide or at least a very large area and no one has been to our homes to let us in on what is going on.

small town flavor

easy to navigate through 'downtown", because we don't have any real businesses anymore

That SM is almost as good as Oak Creek. Almost, but not quite.

..the small town feel, affordable housing, yet only 20 minutes to Downtown Milwaukee. Also hats off to our city and school administrators who are doing the best they can in these tough times.
